The PACC captain won the toss and batted first on a beautiful green top at Mission Road Ground on 3rd March 2012. The Tartars’ bowlers quickly showed their class as Mushi took 3 early wickets; the spinners then took control with Kinchit Shah taking 4 for 23 and Ashfaq Daood 1 for 20. Pakistan Club were all out for 132 in the 33rd over. It looked easy to chase 132 runs on that wicket but our batters made it hard for ourselves by playing some irresponsible shots and subsequently throwing wickets away on a regular basis. Our top order found it hard facing the seamers and we lost the quick early wickets of Hersh, Kinchit, Usman, M. Khan and Farooq. Only the skipper showed a bit of resistance and was the highest scorer at the end with 19. Tartars needed 5 runs to win at one stage with 3 wickets in hand but ended up losing the match.
