The KCC innings began well with Hersh Khatri and Ankur Sharma showing what a good batting deck it was. Ankur Sharma played some ferocious cover drives before he was caught at slip with the score on 21. Skipper Atkinson joined Khatri and they put on a steady 40 run partnership before Khatri was caught in front and given the dreaded finger of trigger happy D. Kelleher who had already claimed 2 victims in the SCC innings. Atkinson then combined with Dearing and Barkat to edge KCC closer to victory. The arrival of K. Shah at the crease with his bag of cultured slogs, brought about victory in a hurry and KCC strolled to victory by 5 wickets and more than 20 overs to spare.
A massive thanks must go to the KCC and Matt Collins for organising a fantastic weekend of cricket, which resulted in 2 wins for the club. Perhaps the greatest work of the weekend was the discovery of the Interport shield in the Teenagers room, which had not been seen since 2002. Good work lads!
