The KCC Maidens cruised to an easy win over LSW Wasps this week despite only fielding 9 players.

Batting first, the LSW Wasps could only mustered 103 all out off 30.1 overs with Hong Kong rep Manpreet Kaur (13) the only player to reach double-figures. LSW's total was boosted by no less than 50 wides bowled by the Maidens. Dominique McCusker (3-21)  Priya Jain (3-31) were the chief wicket-takers for KCC.

The KCC batters made light work of their chase as they raced to victory in only 11 overs for the loss of 2 wickets. Top scorer for KCC was Priya Jain with 35 not out while Renee Montgomery finished unbeaten on 22 not out.

The KCC Maidens team this year had a lot of success under the leadership of Sarah Eames. The Maidens boast a number of International Cricketers including Keenu Gill and Dominique McCusker. Lisa Cameron, who is the manager of the national women's side, also plays in this team. The Maidens are a very committed and friendly group of players always welcoming new players and beginners into the team. Recently Cheuk Ting, a Hong Kong Basketball representative, started playing cricket and loves it!

If you are interested in playing cricket with the Maidens or attending a training session, please contact Head Coach, Peter Wooden.
