KCC Indoor Cricket League

With a break in programs and the weather too hot to be outside, an exciting new indoor cricket game has been invented for young players to improve close cricket skills on a fast and exciting stage. Four teams will compete over one month to see who is the inaugural 6-a-side KCC indoor cricket champions!

Two age groups, under-11 and under-13 will play two matches once a week (8 games in total) and have a wonderful time along the way winning awards and prizes in an IPL style Cricket competition. Players can name their own teams (maximum of 6 players per team) or apply individually and be drafted into a team aiming to be crowned champions! Each team will have their own section on the new KCC website and within that section each player will have their own player profiles with updated stats and achievements. Teams can be named themselves or use the KCC team.

For runs scored, wickets taken and run outs made each player will earn points and progress through different levels (1–10) with the person on the highest points declared KCC Indoor Cricket League Champion of Champions and earning a trophy too.

Players will nominate music to bat to and the game will have lighting, TV style interviews and ‘hot spots’ all over the field where if a player hits a ‘hot spot’ they will be awarded a prize instantly!

Attractions

Specialist batter entrance music and music between innings and at key moments of match.
Played in the comfort of the air-conditioned Sports Hall.
Matches video-taped and projected on screen (to be confirmed)
Players interviewed during the game ('miked up').
Separate 'player box' and separate spectator viewing area.
Prizes and challenges throughout matches (e.g. hot the 'hot spot' to receive an award).
IPL style team names and draft system.
Internet player profiles and teams on the KCC Cricket website.
Wear your own outfits/have your own trademarks.
Trophies and medallions for players.

Rules / Format

Maximum 4 teams per competition
6-a-side
6 over speed matches (everyone bowls 1 over)
Plastic bats and plastic ball
Teams start on 200 and -3 if you get out
Pairs bat for 2 overs each
In the event of a tie, a bowl-out takes place where all players bowl one ball at the stumps

$300 per player

Terms & Conditions

No boots/spikes are permitted. Sports trainers / white rubber non-marking soles only.
No refunds will be given if any training lessons are missed by players.
Please note that domestic helpers must be in attendance with Guardian Pass, which is available at the Reception Desk.
Any lesson may be cancelled due to Club Function with refund of fee.
The use of mobile phones is permitted in outdoor areas only.
Participants shall, at all times, adhere to the rules and bylaws of the KCC. If any participant who does not adhere to the rules and bylaws, The Club has the right to refuse that person attendance at further camp sessions and without the refund of any fees.

Indemnity

The Kowloon Cricket Club (“The KCC” or “the Club”) or organizers will not be responsible for any injuries sustained by any person during the KCC Indoor Cricket League or its associated activities. All participants attending, including players, guardians or spectators, do so at their own risk. The KCC or organizers will also not be responsible for any loss or damage of personal property during the KCC Indoor Cricket League or its associated activities.
