KCC grabbed a sensational victory over Pakistan Association in a thrilling finish to their Premier League One Day match played at KCC today. Chasing 174 for victory, Pakistan Association looked to be cruising to a comfortable victory when they reached 161-4 after 27 overs, with Hussain Butt looking untroubled on 96. What followed was three sensational overs that saw Pakistan Association collapse in a heap to be all out for 162, handing KCC victory by 11 runs.

Earlier in the day, a fighting 65 from Dylan Dearing rescued KCC's faltering innings and lifted them to a total of 173, after the top order failed to cope in some bowler friendly conditions. He was well supported by Kinchit Shah who scored 33. Najeeb Amar, who opened the bowling, claimed 3-10 in 9.1 overs, while Ankur Sharma picked up 3-43 from 7 overs.

Dearing was in the action early in the second innings when he grabbed a sensational catch to dismiss Najeeb Amar for just 1 off the bowling of Aditya Kanthan. Afzaal Haider then bowled Ankur Sharma to leave Pakistan struggling at 6-2 after 3 overs. Butt Hussain and Mudassar Hussain then combined for an excellent partnership and the pair advanced the Pakistan score past 100 without further loss. But the introduction of Waqar Dawood had an immediate effect as he grabbed two wickets in quick succession to bring KCC back in the game. New batsman Mohammad Ali however seemed untroubled and he and Butt flayed the KCC attack with disdain over the next few overs as the game appeared to be slipping rapidly from KCC's grasp.

But when the score reached 161, KCC skipper Peter Wooden had Ali (28) caught in the deep by Kinchi Shah and Afzaal Haider then had Aizaz Khan caught behind for 0. Wooden then trapped Butt Hussain LBW for 96 in his next over to lift KCC's spirits. Afzaal Haider then wrapped things up in sensational style as he dispatched of Ilyas Gul, Khalid Khan and Mateen uh-Rehman in six lethal deliveries.

At KCC on 25.09.2011: Kowloon CC 173 from 45.1 overs (Dylan Dearing 65, Kinchit Shah 33; Najeeb Amar 9.1-3-10-3, Ankur Sharma 7-0-43-3) beat Pakistan Association 162 from 30 overs (Hussain Butt 96; Afzaal Haider 8-2-22-5) by 11 runs
