KCC's Sunday League teams had mixed results in their latest fixtures. After an extended break for the International Sixes, the Templars shook off any cobwebs with a powerful display against the HKCC Optimists. After winning the toss, captain Roy Lamsam had no hesitation in batting first and his decision reaped immediate results with the side posting a formidable 349, thanks to a brilliant century from Hong Kong captain Jamie Atkinson. His hundred was backed up by Dylan Dearing who scored 79 and Waqas Barkat who made 65. The Optimists never looked like challenging this target and were soon dismissed for 184. Evergreen fast bowler Afzaal Haider took 3 wickets and Waqas Barkat added to his good day with 4 wickets.
In the other match the Infidels were kicking themselves when they dropped HKCC coach Mark Wright early, he went on to make 92 and help his team to a competitive 281, Ateequ Iqbal continued his good form with 2/40 and Kuunal Parwani grabbed 2/52. The Infidels were on target to chase down the target when they reached 1/141, thanks to Mo Khan's 63 and Ankur Sharma's 40 but the fall of key wickets saw the run chase unravel and the side dismissed for 185.
